Graphical Abstract Guidelines

Graphical abstracts participate in the Best Graphical Abstract Contest

Many journals now require a graphical abstract alongside the body of the articles. Therefore, the Organizing committee of the CSFB 2026 has introduced mandatory submission of a graphical abstract along with the written abstract.

What is a graphical abstract?

  • A single, concise visual summary of your research. It should present the main idea of your work in a clear and attractive graphical form.
  • Must be specially designed for this purpose and should not be a figure copied directly from the abstract text or presentation slides.
  • Should be clear, colorful, and informative to allow readers to understand the key message of the research at a single glance.

Submission

  • Upload your graphical abstract as a separate file in the Abstract submission form in your Participant account.
  • Submission of a graphical abstract is mandatory.

Requirements

  • File format: PDF
  • Resolution: at least 300 dpi.
  • Fonts: use clear sans-serif fonts (Arial, Roboto, Helvetica, Calibri).
  • Single file

Design Recommendations

  • Please do not include the title or author names. This information will be provided separately in the book of abstracts and in the online gallery.
  • The graphical abstract should have a clear logical flow.
  • The content should be easy to read from top to bottom or from left to right.
  • Avoid excessive elements and visual clutter.
  • Use clear graphics and minimal text.
  • Please do not include the heading “Graphical Abstract” inside the image.
  • Avoid unnecessary white space.
  • Any labels or text must be part of the image itself.
  • Do not add additional text, outlines, or captions outside the image file.
